Description: New MSE calibration

The MSE offset calibration has been updated on July 6, 1993.
The new calibration is based on a large set of data obtained in July.
Unfortunately, the data are not entirely consistent due, most
probably, to extraneous polarization produced by scattered light.
Thus, the present calibration is a result of very careful analysis
taking into account the previous calibrations, etc. As usual, this is
NOT the final calibration but the best we can have at this time.
It is estimated that the absolute error of the tilt angle determination
(the calibration error) is still of the order of 0.5 degree.
The MSE data in EFIT should be used with weight of 0.5
 (fwtgam = 8*0.5).

The EFIT q-profiles obtained with the new calibration seem to indicate
somewhat higher values of q0 than obtained with the previously used
calibration. Thus, if the current profile is an important quantity in
your analysis the fits should be re-run. (As of 6-JUL-93, EFIT will
 use the new calibration).
