Description: Running EFIT on HPs
To run EFIT on HPs
1. Include /link/efit/ in your search path.
2. Activate EFIT using execuable names similar to those on
Vaxs:
-- efitd 33x33
-- efitd65y 33x65
-- efitd6565 65x65
3. Additionally, double precision versions of EFIT also available
on HPs with similar names:
-- efitdd 33x33
-- efitd65yd 33x65
-- efitd6565d 65x65
The double precision versions provide much better numerial
resolution than the single precision ones with a very minute
increase of CPU time. It is highly recommended these be used.
4. For plotting, itek should be set to 5 on all HPs to make the
graphic data file pltout.out. Note that unlike Vaxs, comment
lines with ! are not allowed inside namelist.
5. To make plots on HPs with DISSPLA such as helios, activate
these script files in /link/efit/
-- tek
make a cgm file gmeta from pltout.out using plotc, then plot
on screen using gplot. Use gtek if you already have the
cgm file gmeta, this will run faster.
-- plotps
make a cgm file gmeta from pltout.out using plotc, then
translate it into a postscript file gmeta.ps using
gplot and sent it to lps4. Use gplotps if you already
the cgm file gmeta.
-- plotps4
as plotps, except using lps4_pack to compress plots. Use
gplotps4 if you already have the cgm file gmeta.
