The data analysis applications group has participated in a number of SBIR projects aimed at advancing fusion science. This work has proved very valuable and the group actively seeks to form new partnerships with small companies for innovative computer science projects.
Presently, the group is partnering with Tech-X Corporation in a Phase II SBIR project to enhance the FusionGrid service via enhanced data transfer and data access. Software tools will be built enabling more efficient remote data transfer so that scientists can efficiently utilize larger datasets.
