Backup policy
User files are backed up daily (at approximately 6:30pm) via rsync.
FORTRAN
Only GNU gfortran is available and supported on banach.

If you get this message
mpiexec_banach: cannot connect to local mpd (/tmp/mpd2.console_user); possible causes: 1. no mpd is running on this host 2. an mpd is running but was started without a "console" (-n option)
