The Inertial Confinement Fusion Program Mission

The Inertial Confinement Fusion (ICF) Program is part of the US Department of Energy's "science-based stockpile stewardship program," dedicated to allowing the USA to observe a nuclear weapons test ban while still maintaining confidence in our nuclear deterrence arsenal.
